Cookie & Local Storage Policy

No advertising cookies. No analytics cookies. Two on-device preferences, documented below.

Effective and last reviewed: 18 August 2026

1. Summary

The current Mire Lithium website does not set first-party or third-party HTTP cookies through its page code. It does not use advertising networks, behavioural analytics, social-media pixels, affiliate tracking or cross-site identifiers.

The Site uses the browser's local storage feature for two strictly limited interface preferences. These values help avoid repeatedly showing the 18+ confirmation and the storage notice. They are not accounts and are not used to identify you.

2. Cookies and local storage are different

A cookie is a small piece of text that a website can ask a browser to store. Cookies matching a domain are normally attached to later network requests for that domain, subject to their attributes and browser rules.

Local storage is a browser-managed key-value store associated with an origin. Its values are read by JavaScript on the page and are not automatically included in every HTTP request. Both technologies can remember information, which is why this policy explains local storage even though the Site sets no cookies.

3. Values used by Mire Lithium

Technology and keyStored valuePurposeDuration
Local storage: ml_age_confirmedyesRecords that the visitor selected “I am 18 or older”, so the educational-content notice does not cover every page.Until the visitor clears site data or the browser removes it.
Local storage: ml_storage_notedismissedRecords that the plain storage notice was dismissed.Until the visitor clears site data or the browser removes it.

Neither value contains a name, email address, date of birth, unique random identifier, gambling history or financial information. The values are not transmitted to Mire Lithium by the Site's JavaScript.

4. Why no consent dashboard appears

There are no optional analytics, personalisation or advertising categories to switch on. The local values support notices requested for the adult subject matter and basic interface continuity. A visitor may block them without losing access to the articles; the notices may simply reappear.

If the Site later introduces any non-essential cookie or similar tracking technology, this page and the interface will be updated before deployment, with controls provided where law requires.

5. Hosting and third-party services

A hosting, content-delivery or security provider may use technical mechanisms at the network layer under its own configuration to deliver and protect the Site. As at this policy date, Mire Lithium's page code does not request third-party scripts, web fonts, videos, maps or embedded social widgets.

Links to Gambling Help Online, Lifeline, BetStop, the ACMA, the OAIC and other independent sites are ordinary links. Once you choose one, the destination's cookies and privacy policy apply. Mire Lithium cannot control that site and does not receive the content of your interaction.

6. How to inspect, block or delete the values

Most browsers allow you to view and delete data for a particular website through settings labelled Privacy, Cookies, Site Data or Storage. You may also use a private-browsing window, though its exact behaviour is browser-dependent.

  1. Open your browser's privacy or site settings.
  2. Search for mirelithium.com.
  3. Remove its stored data, or block storage for the domain.
  4. Reload the Site. The age and storage notices may display again.

Clearing all browser data can sign you out of unrelated services, so use site-specific controls when available. Browser vendors change menu names; consult your browser's official help for current steps.

7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

The Site does not use behavioural advertising or cross-site tracking, so it does not alter a tracking profile in response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. We will reassess this statement if site technology changes.

8. Updates

We may revise this policy to reflect changes in code, hosting, law or guidance. The effective date will be changed and material additions will be signposted where practical.

9. Contact

Questions about browser storage or a possible discrepancy between this policy and observed Site behaviour can be sent to privacy@mirelithium.com. Include the page address, approximate time, browser name and the storage or network item observed, but do not send passwords or financial details.
